We have an information packed meeting this month featuring some very useful productions tips aimed at improving your productions while also simplifying your workflow. It’s easy to get into a rut and not take advantage of optimum techniques that can not only shorten our production time but also improve the results as well. Our speaker lineup includes:
Alex Vo – Incorporating LUTs in Your Workflow
Alex will remove the mystery of LUTs and demonstrate their use. There are many uses of LUTs in projects. One of the most common is to provide a way to provide a consistent look to a project with a common color correction applied to all clips. Another is to adjust log gamma clips so they are usable in a project.
Matthieu Meynier – Color Matching
Clips from different cameras with different color profiles can be visually distracting in a project. Matthieu will share his approach to matching the color characteristics of clips to give your productions a polished and uniform appearance.
Oren Arieli – Audio Cleanup
We recently covered audio acquisition methods aimed at ways of acquiring high quality audio. But what can be done when audio clips have problems? There are many times when the ‘retake filter’ can’t be used. Oren will demonstrate ways to at least improve audio clips in your projects.
Ric Grover – Clip renaming and management methods
Ric will demonstrate his editing workflow for renaming clips from various cameras and using their metadata timestamp to synchronize the clips.
